Power, in American politics, is derived from the people. Americans have always curbed run-away power grabs by unethical, weak, impotent presidents who think they are above the law.
Just take a look at what we did to Krasnov (formerly known as ‘Tangering Terrorist’ by yours truly, but am now adopting his KGB codename) the last time he was in the Oval Office. Not only did we stop him from doing just about everything he wanted to do, we impeached him, TWICE. Then, we showed up like we haven’t shown up before and we voted him out of our beloved White House. We gave President Biden a resounding mandate to clean up … but, we forgot to show up and show out to allow Vice President Harris to continue, not only clean up, but to strengthen, our democracy. That failure is on all of us. Here’s how to rectify that mistake:
During Krasnov’s first regime, Portlanders, in Oregon, protested for weeks to get the federal troops sent to subjugate our city … and they had to leave our city without having accomplished anything but economic damage to the buisnesses they were sent to ‘protect.’ We organized, we protested, we prevailed.
Krasnov has no power because a majority of Americans did not elect him. We did not consent to his blatant power grabs during his first regime and we do not consent to his power grab now. Women all over this country have been speaking up and speaking out since 20 Jan 2025. We need to amplify their voices.
Democrats in political leadership positions have been flatfooted because they didn’t know how to react. We are showing them what to do every time we, the people, ask questions, make phone calls, send postcards and organize peaceful protests.
World leaders are showing our media outlets and our politicians what to do when confronted with Krasnov and his sycophants in public arenas. French Pres. Macron’s audacity to politely rebuke Krasnov’s lie on tv should have been a thunderclap, a clarion call to other public officials for how to deal with this pusilanimous bully. I hope they take note and begin acting the same way.
Women in politics have been vocal and have helped organize us. They have been shouting into the wind and calling on the rest of us to join them. We need to make sure we hear them, amplify their voices, roll up our sleeves and help them get stuff done.
Krasnov has no power because we, the American people, never gave him any power. So, he has to do what every other bully in history has done: just tell us he has power before we call his bluff and show him how powerless he has always been. He is just a bully. He occupies the most powerful office in our country, but he is not powerful. Don’t believe his con that he is anything but a pusilanimous, impotent, incompetent, convicted felon. Remind him that he is the most pathetic conman of all: he believes his own con.
Listen to women. They know how to get stuff done. Help them help you.
