Why am I writing about this today? Because sometimes we all need to be reminded that putting one foot in front of the other is all part of the game in this modern life. We all get run down, pushed aside, ignored, and otherwise submit ourselves to the daily grind of modern society.
Our daily lives seem filled with turmoil; our bosses may or may not be nice to work for, our families require care and attention, and then there's the daily commute that has recently been shown to increase stress levels. Our news is filled with things that seem too big to deal with, let alone understand; our economy is somehow tied to Europe and Asia, a strike in one part of the world, in one sector of the economy seems to have an effect on our domestic economics. We struggle with putting food on our tables and roofs over our heads, balancing long hours for our employers and less time at home with our families. We work harder for less money while those whose capital works for them siphon up an ever greater portion of financial wealth.
